This presentation will describe how IIHS is advancing rear impact safety by combining real-world injury data, updated crash evaluation methods, and virtual testing technologies. The goal is to encourage seat and restraint designs that provide more robust protection across a broader range of crash conditions and occupant characteristics, helping to further reduce whiplash injuries in the future.
