Joseph Jaklic is a Senior Staff Engineer & Technical Liaison at ams-OSRAM where he works with both
traditional and advanced lighting technologies. The technology areas include LED lighting systems and electronics, LED light sources, and vehicle systems integration.
He is the former chairperson of the SAE International Lighting Systems Group and organizer and
chairperson for the SAE International World Congress Automotive Lighting Technology and Human
Factors in Driver Vision Committee and has been involved with SAE industry standards development for over thirty years.
Current committee activities include development of ground vehicle lighting standards for LED Replaceable Light Sources, Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB), Automated Driving System (ADS) lighting, Road and Signal Projection Lighting, and testing and measurement practices.
