He has a graduate degree from the University of Michigan and has held engineering leadership roles at Hella, Varroc and Flex-N-Gate, where he has led global teams responsible for developing next-generation exterior and interior lighting systems. Known for turning innovative concepts into production-ready solutions, Melhado has contributed to pioneering all-LED headlamp technology and has extensive expertise in product development, manufacturing, quality and engineering strategy.
